CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IS CRITICAL TO OUR SUCCESS
Over the past 25+ years, Acres has pursued a continuous improvement process throughout the entire organization. Acres guiding principle #2: “Continuous improvement is critical to our success.” This comprehensive program has included new facilities, nurseries, employee training and development, organizational restructures, new equipment, “preferred vendor program”, professional education with certification, intranet, information systems, and website technology. All of these investments in time, money, and talent are targeted at being the best service provider that we can be for our customers. As our guiding principle #1 states: “Our customers are the focus of everything we do.”
This hard work has also allowed us to position for the future – especially during tough economic times.
Acres now has capabilities that will allow us to spend more time in-field and less time dealing with time consuming and expensive traffic/travel, non-essential paperwork, and equipment/material logistics.
Our new multi-million dollar computer system, laptops, Modeco time scan, and GPS technologies will allow us to continue to expand our direct report capabilities for our crews and managers. We currently direct report over 78% of our maintenance crews and we are working toward more direct reporting of Acres enhancement crews.
In addition, we have worked hard to be “green” environmentally friendly with our landscape waste/disposal and fuel consumption.
We believe that we have made solid strategic decisions and investments for the betterment of our company and especially our customers.
